POWER IN POSITION

Power brings fear to the people around. When you are powerful, you become fearful to the people that have less power. Power is measured by position, those in high positions like the manager of a company have more power than the receptionist and whenever someone gives you his power, he has given you his position. This can also be explained in a case whereby you get promoted to the position of a manager which means that you now have the power of a manager. Without position, power is not felt.
   Everyone have a position in life and when you live outside of your position, you miss the opportunity to activate your power. We came to the world to live in our position but because we cannot discern our position, we live outside of it. Do you know your position? Because when we do not live in our position, we become powerless in life and being powerless starves your life of its greatness because the level of your greatness is directly connected to the level of your power. Each one of us has a different level of power which means that we are greater than some and lesser than some. You cannot discover your position through the predicament you are in life; it is erroneous to do so because your power is in who you are not what you go through or how you are. You living in a state of poverty or opulence does not reveal your position, it does not mean because you are richer, you have more power than the impoverished or because you graduated with first class and highly intelligent does not mean you are destined to be the manager of a company. If you follow the revelation of the life you live or what you think you can do in order to position yourself, it is most certain that you are wrongly positioned. Many of us are wrongly positioned and our life is not what it ought to be because of it.

POSITION AMONGS MEN AND IN GOD
Many times people position you by what you do and because no one desires to be in a low position, we are compelled to do better in order to get an admired and high position and so among men, positioning is done by what we do and can do but in God, your position is all on who you are created to be. The problem we face is that we do not know who we are created to be that is why we are in the wrong position. The purpose of God in our life, positions us rightly. The calling of God is the unfolding of who we are created to be, called to preach, teach, lead or be a musician. We become astonished when he calls us into something because of the revelation of who we are created to be that we have no clue of until His calling. When God calls, he calls who you are created to be to do a thing but you become so confused because you do not know if you can do it and that you have not lived as that person. The difference between the positioning of men and of God is that men gives title but God gives you a name. The title is connected to what you do and the name is connected to who you are. How great you are is how great your name will be likewise your title but what you do will die when you die so will your title but your name is what will be remembered and so is who you are. This is the more reason why it is important to make a name than to claim a title. The great people are always known by their names.

THE IMPACT OF POWER
It is one thing to have the power and another thing to use it. You cannot use the power if you do not know how to operate in that position and fathom what to use it for. Power has an impact only when you use it. It could be that you are in your position but feel powerless because you do not know what to use it for and equally do not know how to operate in your position. To be able to operate in that position, you must have full understanding about the position because you cannot operate a phone unless you know everything that needs to be known about it and the more you know about your position, the more you operate in that position and in the process of knowing your position, you become aware of what to use your power for and how to use it.

Living outside purpose is one of the things we all are caught doing. We do this because we have no clue to what our purpose is and so we try to become an airplane when we really are a shoe not realizing that we do not in any way have the parts of a plane to be one and we walk our life on this erroneous path to explain to ourselves that we lack the awareness of our potential. An artist cannot become a songwriter but he will only struggle to be one when he does not know his potential. There will be a lack of something in a place outside your purpose that is required of you and while you struggle to stay in that place, you will never be able to sense fulfillment or happiness because the place does not demand the use of your potential but rather puts it to sleep and that nagging feeling that there is something more than this, is the snoring sound of the sleeping potential inside of you that needs to be awaken by living on purpose.   We know so much about everything happening outside of us but little of what’s taking place on the inside, we are so inquisitive about people and never paying attention to ourselves. As we begin to live in the ages of life, our physical appearance changes because it knows that there is something more to it that must be reached and the only way it can become the more is by growing. Growing refers to the change that comes with you becoming the more you perceive of yourself and so it is possible to change and not grow when you aren’t aware of the more to you than you know.
